In addition to being highly regarded as an exceptional wildlife painter, Ralph J. McDonald, the Ducks Unlimited International Artist of the Year, is known among collectors of his work for his annual Santa Claus prints. This fall, he lends his talent to the new FRP-published book, Cooking Up A Classic Christmas - Santa’s Secrets for An Unforgettable Holiday.

When FRP’s New Market Development Coordinator Sheila Thomas decided last year to create a Christmas cookbook designed for gift-giving, she immediately thought of the Gallatin, Tennessee native. “Ralph’s Christmas prints represent a classic, homey holiday with Santas that are exactly what we picture when we think of Old St. Nick. It’s great too that all of the paintings include the animals and wildlife for which he is known. Since our own imprint is relatively new, we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such an accomplished artist.”

Available in stores early this fall, Cooking Up A Classic Christmas includes the best holiday recipes from respected community cookbooks across the country, including eleven Tabasco® Award-Winners. Christmas memories are shared in several touching stories throughout the book. Menus for special holiday gatherings make planning easy for harried hosts, and a wealth of extra tips give cooks plenty of information to change recipes to suit their needs or save time by preparing items in advance.

Cooking Up A Classic Christmas was compiled, edited, designed, written and manufactured by FRP in Nashville, Tennessee. Since the company was founded in 1961 by Morris Dees and Millard Fuller, FRP has produced more than 800 titles for individuals, companies, and nonprofit organizations from coast to coast.
