Food speaks of people and places, of simpler times and memories of the past. A Perfect Setting – A Collection of West Texas Recipes follows the traditions of the region in offering treasured family recipes with a hearty helping of Lone Star state style.
With more than two hundred fifty recipes and ten menus for planning memorable events, this cookbook delivers on its promise of authentic West Texas dishes, with shared influences from Mexican cuisine, down-home comfort food, and the hearty cooking styles of the cattlemen and ranchers who developed the region around Lubbock.
Proceeds from the sale of their cookbook benefit programs identified by the Junior League of Lubbock as serving in one of their current “impact areas.” Currently these areas include projects on Women’s Health and Well-Being, Child Protection Programs, Education Programs, and Childhood Obesity.
A Perfect Setting was edited, designed, and manufactured by FRP in Nashville, Tennessee.
