Main Line Entertains is the celebrated third cookbook from The Saturday Club of Wayne, PA. With more than 200 recipes from the Club’s members, the area’s finest restaurants, and other culinary professionals, this cookbook’s unique tips for entertaining and etiquette make it essential reading for all who seek to host distinctive gatherings at home.

Founded in 1886, The Saturday Club originated as a forum for the education and cultural enrichment of women. Today, the Club’s mission has expanded to include direct service and philanthropic support to charitable organizations in the Greater Philadelphia area. Additionally, the Club is committed to maintaining its turn-of-the century Tudor-style clubhouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is integral to the life of the membership and surrounding community.

Main Line Entertains is designated “The Official Cookbook of 21st-Century Main Line” by the Main Line Chamber of Commerce. The book includes a foreword by award-winning chef Peter Gilmore and offers complete menus for some of the area’s annual events and special commemorations. From a ladies’ tennis round-robin luncheon to a glimpse of formal dining in Philadelphia’s Ardrossan Estate; from tailgating in Pennsylvania horse country to a magical cocktail party at the Chanticleer gardens, twelve seasonal menus and their recipes form a solid base from which to celebrate any special day, with Saturday Club style.
