When working mother Leslie Monte’s two young children were diagnosed with medical conditions that required special diets, she faced a challenge: creating quick, healthy meals that met their special nutritional requirements. She was most concerned about eliminating artificial preservatives, flavorings, and other food additives. After her own and her parents’ experimentation with new ways to prepare and flavor foods, “We discovered how to make mealtimes enjoyable and effortless, dietary restrictions or not,” says Ms. Monte.

Ms. Monte had discovered the power of fresh herb and spice combinations, and was soon offering her specialty blends at craft fairs. It was not long after developing a loyal following that Wildtree Herbs, Inc. was formed to offer a wide variety of spice blends at home parties.
