WAXAHACHIE JUNIOR SERVICE LEAGUE WAXES HISTORIC
June 9, 2005

A Step Back in Thyme is the second cookbook of the Waxahachie Junior Service League to present a taste of their town’s rich history along with recipes that have been passed down through the generations by those who built the idyllic town. Modernized for contemporary kitchens, these recipes run the gambit from those whose name alone evoke a strong sense of home—Beth’s Buttermilk Pie, Chicken and Dumplings, Spaghetti Casserole—and those that evoke elegant dining and entertaining, such as Warmed Cranberry Brie, Chocolate Torte, or the Three-Pepper Beef Tenderloin.
