Whimsical artwork frames serious cooking in this collection of family favorites from the Junior League of Clearwater-Dunedin. From Grouper to Grits: Delicious Fare with Coastal Flair provides all cooks—from serious chefs to backyard grillers—resources and recipes that will win over the hearts (and stomachs) of those your serve. This cookbook provides a mix of traditional Southern specialties and international flavor typical of the unique western Florida coastal community.

The Junior League of Clearwater-Denedin teamed with local restaurants and worked closely with Chef John M. Lewis of La Maison Gourmet in Clearwater to create a compilation of tested recipes to celebrate their region. Menu suggestions at the beginning of the book and sidebars throughout commemorate local events. Cheery color illustrations by Jules Burt add a visual thrill and carry the excitement of everything from, well, Pan Seared Grouper in Lemon Butter Sauce to Southern Fried Grits, with a fun variety recipes for every meal in between.

Proceeds from From Gouper to Grits benefit the League’s many service projects, including: Dunedin Fine Art & Cultural Center, Gateway Children’s Shelter, the Rick Pitino High Point Success Center, and more.
