FRP’s (Favorite Recipes® Press) Director of Marketing and Distribution, Mary Margaret Andrews, will be speaking at the 13th Annual Catersource 2005 Conference & Tradeshow held at Bally’s Event Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on Monday, January 17th. The title of her presentation will be “Cookbook Publishing: A New Way To Market Your Business”.
Andrews will discuss how a cookbook is a vital tool in creating brand awareness for a catering business and will explain how traditional book publishing deals work verses self-publishing a cookbook. All aspects of cookbook development, from design and printing to distribution and marketing, will be discussed. Catersource 2005 will be held July 17-20, 2005 and includes 40+ educational sessions, 250 tradeshow booths of catering products and services, as well as multiple networking opportunities for attendees in the catering business.
Andrews has climbed virtually every step of the book sales and distribution ladder in her career, including retail bookstore management and regional management over 25-30 stores nationwide. She moved to the publishing side in 1993 joining The Wimmer Companies as director of distribution. In 1996, she joined FRP to manage distribution, including The Cookbook Marketplace(SM), FRP’s distribution company. Marketing was added to her responsibilities in 1998, increasing her involvement with FRP clients and their sales activities. Andrews is on the board of the Publishers Association of the South (PAS), and a member of the Publisher’s Marketing Association (PMA) and the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP). She is a native of Greenville, Mississippi and currently resides in Germantown, Tennessee.
