FRP Introduces California Sol Food

FRP (Favorite Recipes® Press), is pleased to announce the release of the Junior League of San Diego’s new cookbook California Sol Food – Casual Cooking from the Junior League of San Diego. The 224 page, four-color cookbook features recipes in eight chapters arranged by the position of the sun during the day, including “Happy Hour” and “Midnight Snack” chapters. This is the League's first cookbook in 18 years and includes recipes for Crustless Crab Quiche (p. 35), Fish Tacos (p. 82), Amaretto Chicken with Saffron Rice (p. 160) and Iced Chunky Pumpkin Cookies (p. 205).

California Sol Food captures the flavor of San Diego’s most notable destinations, events and points of interest, and offers a true snapshot of a day in the life of San Diego County. In addition to over 160 recipes, California Sol Food offers menus, great cooking tips and 25 full-page food photographs by Frankie Frankeny, recently named one of “The 100 Most Creative People in America” by Entertainment Weekly magazine. Funds from cookbook sales will be used by the Junior League of San Diego to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve the community through on-going education programs in San Diego.
