Printing Impressions magazines, co-sponsors of the Annual Gold Ink Awards, announced that FRP has won a Pewter Award in the Cookbooks Category. The entry, Lone Star to Five Star, was published by the Junior League of Plano, Texas.The text was printed by RR Donnelley – Roanoke, VA. Pre-Press Supplier was Color Associates - St. Louis, Missouri, and the cover was printed by Commercial Printing - Birmingham, AL.
This year’s Gold Ink Award winners were chosen from nearly 1,600 entries submitted within 46 different categories. The judging panel consisted of 14 professionals in the print production and creative media fields. Winning pieces surpassed their competitors based on print quality, quality of color separations, technical difficulty and overall visual effects. Gold Ink award winners become a member of an elite group of the most respected and influential creators of printing this country has to offer. Winning companies and their award-winning work will be honored at the Gold Ink/Hall of Fame Gala, the industry’s premier networking event for printing and production professionals, which will be held October 11th in Chicago during GRAPH EXPO 2004.
