Dumplings 'N More

Anne Grimes, founder of Harvest Time Food, has just released a new book that will have you laughing and crying as you follow the journey of this Southern lady from a nine year old "cake cookin" entrepreneur to the familiar Anne's Flat Dumplings found in millions of kitchens today. Much more than a cookbook, Dumplings ‘N More includes Anne’s personal story, a devotional section and photographic memories from Anne’s life. Readers will be sure savor the goodness of God as she shares her recipes and memories.

Recipes in Dumplings ‘N More teach you how to use Anne’s Flat Dumplings for more than just Old-Fashioned Chicken ‘n Dumplings (p. 81). They are used in a variety of ways, depending on where you live and what you might call this delicious dish of comfort food. In Eastern North Carolina, it is called chicken pastry, while in other parts of North Carolina, it might be called chicken slick. Other regions call it chicken stew, pot pie, slippery dumplings, or rolled dumplings.

Try Anne’s Flat Dumplings in Sausage ‘n Dumplings Casserole (p. 88) or for a Lasagna (p. 90). After frying them (p. 95) create a delicious dessert of Boiled Berry Cobbler (p. 97). Harvest Time Foods, Inc. began in 1981 as a home-based business founded by Anne and her late husband, Bryan.
