Founded in 1855, The Southwestern Company is the oldest direct selling company in America. Its origin is as a religious book and Bible publisher but in 1868 moved into selling educational products through independent contractor college students. The Southwestern Company's current product line is oriented toward reference and non-fiction childrens books and CD-ROMs.
Founded in 1994, this company was the first "export" of the Southwestern business.
SBR, Inc. is an international, full-service recruiting firm. They specialize in permanent search and contract placement services with offices throughout the United States and in the United Kingdom.
This division of Southwestern has one main objective - helping companies improve their bottom line through building their most valuable asset - their people.
